Rustic, Nature Inspired Tablescape

Welcome dear friends and new readers.
Today I am sharing a bit more of my holiday decor....
My table in the kitchen done in a nature theme.

I love to decorate with chippy pots, pine cones and red cardinals....
and PLAID!
I think I have a plaid addiction, but I just love it.
The rug is new as well.
I just had to have it since it matched my wallpaper perfectly!

The country star is a tree topper I am using as the centerpiece.
I love its rusted look.
I got this at a yearsale this summer.
I will show you in a later post all the stars that have popped up in my decor this year.
I seem to have a growing collection!

Here you can see my little cardinal, how cute is he.
I will display him all winter in the kitchen.
I love this look because it will last me a long time.
It will not just be Christmas, but winter.
Giving me a bit more bang for my decorating buck.

Speaking of a good deal....
The boxwoods are from Lowe's and I just love them.
They came already in topiary form and are a bargain at $10 each.
They can be planted outside once the holiday is over.

I have used the same pine conses for years.
They find themselves all over my house.
I hope to grow my own in a few years once the trees get bigger!

Here is a good view of my new rug.  I just love it.
Too pretty to put on the floor!

And yes, little sister is being silly...
laughing at mom always taking too many pictures!
