It is in the teens and blowing snow here at the lake. Not bird watching weather to say the least.
But here on Valentine's Day an full grown eagle came to visit our backyard.
eagle sightings are rare. This is our second visit by this eagle this winter.
The first time he never landed just circled the lake.
We think he lives very near here in the Patoka River Preserve.
It is less than five miles from our lake.
This one is HUGE, wings have to be almost 6 ft across.
These pictures are taken from the house with my big lens on the camera.
We are lucky to have lots of wildlife out here to enjoy.
But this was definitely a treat to see on Valentine's Day.
Stay warm folks... it is horrible cold out there!
