Christmas in the Sand 2014

We're back!
Finally home to Indiana after an eight day trip to sunny Florida!
We drove and it took 14 hours each way... but it was worth it!
We stayed in Clearwater right on the beach...
This is the view from our balcony of the girls playing volleyball.
We loved the area and wished we had stayed longer in Clearwater.
We actually spent four days going up the gulf side beaches.
 We all love the water.
It rained a bit but most of the time it was sunny and in the 80s.
Hugging a palm tree... lol.
This is our beach girl.... even her Indiana bedroom is done in beach.
But they both had fun in the very cold water.
Luckily we had heated pools in all our stays.
We enjoyed a boat ride to see the dolphins and houses.
I loved all the small boats in the bay.
We had a good show from the dolphins.
The girls got it on their phones to show to their friends.
I actually did not take that many pics this time.
Just a few at the resort.
Mostly I just soaked up the sun....
 And enjoyed some family time.
We visited my parents in Sebring where they stay in the winter.
And made plans on where to stay for next year.
This time we stayed at Barefoot Beach Resort and it was charming...
but the rooms were a tad small for a family of four.

But it was right on the strip and on the ocean near the private rental homes.
So it was quiet and well kept.
I loved all the decorations and lit palm trees.
I think it should be a new tradition to go to the beach for the holidays!

Thanks so much for stopping by and God Bless!
~Brooke~

  1. Looks like yall had a great time. I am sure that is a nice break from the cold weather in Indiana. Your daughters are so cute and sure looked like they were having a blast. Loved all your pretty pics too.
We live in Florida and we love staying at the beach in a condo. It is really the most relaxing vacation there is........we used to go to the mountains to cool off in the summer until our children got to be teenagers and were working, that was when we started our beach vacays, cause we were only 40 mins. from home so if they couldn't get the whole time off they could still go to work and they loved being able to have their friends come over some. Now we are back to the mountains because our daughter is married and living in N.C., so all of our trips in the last 15 mos. have been to Asheville, and we are loving that too.

That was a fun way to spend Christmas I'm sure..........good for yall, and fun to come home planning the
    next time.........
Blessings for a Happy 2015, just a few days away, wow............another year behind us. Amazing!

  10. Brooke, I just saw your feature over at Kris's and your home is lovely. I have long admired your garden. Your Gypsy cat looks just like a little stray we named Lucy. Such a beautifully marked and sweet kitty. It was fun to see more of your home. Happy New Year..Judy

  11. Aren't your girls adorable! Looks like a great time. Glad the weather cooperated. We are only a couple of hours from there and we've had dreary skies for a couple of weeks now. More like Seattle than Florida!
