Fall on the Butterfly Hill and Tuesday Garden Party 10/21

Welcome to the Tuesday Garden Party at Creative Country Mom's!
Fall, beautiful fall in Indiana.
The sun has finally came back out...and the rains have stopped.
So lets take a peek at the Butterfly Hill....
The high winds and rain have beat off the majority of our leaves.
But the evergreens and the grasses are lovely.
Color is magnified and dramatic in the fall gardens.
Of course, it makes me a little sad to see it die back.
But that will just make Spring twice as sweet.

What am I doing in the gardens this week?

Not too much.
Little weeding... and still have a big bag of tulips to plant.
Mostly just enjoying the pretty days and lovely colors.

Can't wait to see what you share this week!

If your garden is pretty much done for the year....
share a favorite post from this summer!

Today’s Tuesday Garden Party comes to you from Michelle of SimplifyLiveLove.

Happy Tuesday from lovely Boston! I packed up my kids last week and the five of us drove to upstate New York. We wanted to visit a great friend of ours and also needed to head East because my husband and I had business meetings in Boston. If you've never visited the Northeast in the fall, you are really missing out. It's my first time here, and I have loved every single minute. The turning leaves are just so beautiful and we've had such a nice time out East. I don't have any awesome gardening advice to impart this week, but check out some of the things we've seen as we traversed Boston Common Gardens, Beacon Hill, downtown Boston, the North End of Boston, and walked along the Charles River. Image if you will, 2 moms, 1 dad, and 7 kids - walking the streets of Boston. It's been so funny.

The fall window baskets are amazing out here and we absolutely loved all of the parks. We found community gardens for school kids and visited the duckling pond at Boston Commons. Did you read the awesome kids book Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey? We had such a nice time seeing all of the sights. My husband heads back to Iowa via plane today, but the kids and I go back to New York with my friend, Robin, for more adventures before we finally head drive to Iowa to bed the garden down for the winter! Stay tuned for more fun posts about our homeschooling on the road adventures.
