I have sang the praises of Strawberry Vanilla Hydrangea several times before.
But honestly... this is one beautiful flowering shrub.
She starts out white.. then slowly turns to pink.
About 6 ft tall or better... but so wonderful.
Blooms on woody stems because she is a paniculata.
So the frost does not bother her at all either.
She blooms about a month after the mopheads.
So it will extend your show into early fall.
Mine is grown in part sun.
That is okay as long as you water her well the first few years.
Most days it is all about our views of the lake...
but in August this hydrangea is almost as beautiful!
Thanks so much for visiting today....Brooke
