Camping In Our Own Backyard

Happy 4th of July!
Thought you might enjoy seeing some pics of how we are celebrating.
We are camping in our own backyard.
We do this once or twice a year.
We have a spot to the back of the property we set up as a campsite.

And have a campfire meal.
And sleep in the tents... we'll almost everyone does.
I went to the house last night... it was COLD!
But the girls are tougher than mom.
And Hubby slept in his chair and kept the fire going.
He had his trusty sidekick Scooby.
He loves to camp... when you bring his blankie.
He can't sleep on the wet grass you know.

It is so pretty down by the lake.
This is our morning view.
We have lived here 8 years this weekend.
Watched the girls grow from little bitty to way too big.
This is our idea of family time.
Did I mention who was with us... two dogs... and eight cats!
Yep... all the kittens camped too.
Hope you are having a wonderful holiday.
We are looking forward to more camping... fireworks and lots of great food!
