It's Officially Snowmen Season!

Hello there!  Welcome back to our Country Kitchen!!
Thanks so much for all your lovely comments on my last kitchen post....
It thought you might like a closer look at all my sweet snowmen.
I've been collecting them for years.
I love the handmade ones... these are not by me...
But very talented others!
But I did make the scrappy fabric bows... love the country touches!
Grapevine adds a rustic accent... love this stuff!
And felted ones... I so want to make these some year.
Hand-painted, so precious.
And a few gifts from dear friends over the years.
Another felted one, I think I love these the most.
I will keep the snowmen up for about six more weeks.
Or until the Spring Bunnies pop up in the Kitchen!
I do enjoy the warm lights in this kitchen tree on the cold winter days.
I have had this tree up for a year now... I just change it from a garden theme...
To Bunnies and Birdhouse.... Then Fall leaves.... and the Snowmen of course!

Here are a few shots from last years winter theme....

In Case You Missed It - February 2013

Today is the second day of my "In Case You Missed It" Series...
February brought some of my favorite posts...
I hope you enjoy them as much as I did sharing them!

I started February with the "Cottage Gardening Series"
Wow was it popular with my readers!
 Day 1....Day 2....Day 3
Here are a few favorite photos from the series.
Wow, this is so lovely.
I hope you will be as inspired as I was.
Beautiful blend of colors.
And I loved this vine over the stone!

We also did a craft in February...
Ribbon Roses are so much fun...and easy too!

Later that month we toured another lovely garden....
Oliver Winery in Bloomington, Indiana.
This garden waas so beautiful I did four posts on it...
Here are a few of my favorite images.

There is so much to see... make sure you visit every day of this tour!

Wow... that was a great month of posts!

In Case You Missed It - January 2013

I thought it would be fun to go back a highlight some of my favorite posts of 2013...
We'll call this series "In Case You Missed It 2013!"

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did sharing it with you...
January brought a tour of a lovely public garden just a few miles from me.
Beverly Knight is a very respected gardener and lucky for me a good friend.
Take the time to view her lovely acres in full spring bloom.
The highlight of the tour is her majestic waterfall.
Every year I promise myself to go back in the dog days of summer
and just sit on the rocks and let the water run over me....
I need to do that this year!
Here is Day 1
and Day 4!

Later in January we toured on of my favorite places in earth... "Little" Nashville, Indiana.

We had lots of fun visiting in early May of 2012...
And the weather was just perfect... everything was in bloom.
It is a delightful place to visit...
I loved the rustic cottage shops...
And the cute garden displays.
This bicycle was a favorite of mine.
But the best is the licence plate palm tree!

There is so much more to see!
Here is the tour...

January is a great month for crafting...
Here are a couple things I made and shared with my readers....

This was a fun one to share and I made the heck out of these.
I even did two classes and one church group demonstration.

Another fun one was the scarf necklaces...

So cute!  And comfortable to wear too!

Okay come back tomorrow for the next month of goodies!
Thanks for stopping by....Brooke

Quick Update In The Living Room...

Christmas Greetings Dear Friends!
I hope you are having a glorious holiday....
Today I did a quick update to my blanket chest in the living room.
I have looked all over for a before picture...
But it was a boring beige with red dots.
Now it is a lovely plaid in the same fabric as my drapes.
My hubby helped me recover it today.
It looks a thousand times better.
This is probably my favorite room in the house.
It has such great light for these cold winter months.
My hubby and I have seperate tv rooms, and this one is mine.
It has the best view of the lakes and my horse pasture.
Lots of light for my house plants too.
A repurposed fireplace screen into a great metal backdrop.
Everything in here is leather, making for easy cleaning with the dogs.
This is their favorite room too.
More houseplants on stools behind the couch.
I use every nick and cranny folks!
My next project will be some pillows for on top of the chest.
The sunlight on my side table and ivy.
Here you can see all the big window.
Can you spot Reno my horse?
There he is....
Looking down you can see the back gardens.
Miley's favorite napping spot... in the sun.

Okay folks...I gotta get to fixin' supper for these guys!
Merry Christmas and thanks for visiting!
