Azalea Path Tour... Part 3
This is Day 3 in the Spring Garden Tour of Beverly Knight's Garden.
I will be doing one more day of this series tomorrow... featuring her wonderful WATERFALL.
Can't wait to show it to you!
Lets enjoy some more beautiful spring color from the Azalea Path!
One picture cannot do justice of all the lovely azaleas in bloom.
What makes it all the more special is the art that is tucked into the garden.
Beverly beautifully adds reclaimed items and custom made pieces.
This must be one of her favorites, I see her share it often on her site.
Several years ago they had a bad storm and lost several large trees.
So they had a wood artist make many of theses wonderful carvings out of the destroyed stumps.
Look closely and you will find a bird....
Beauty is around every corner.
I am especially in awe of her tree peonys. Wow...
If you can ever come to Southern Indiana in the Spring....
The Azalea Path is a must see experience.
Come back again tomorrow for more of this wonderful tour!
Started in 1979, Beverly Knight took an overgrown forest and magically created a gardener's piece of art.
Azalea Path Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is a nonprofit and privately owned facility located on the Gibson/ Pike County border in Southwestern Indiana.
What began with 15 acres and only a few azaleas and perennials has flourished into more than 4,000 azaleas plus a large variety of unusual plants and native Indiana trees.
"Azalea path has one of the largest collections of azaleas in the Midwest, if not the largest."
-Robert E. "Buddy" Lee
Past President of the Azalea Society of America
and a leading hybridizer of Encore Azaleas
Nestled along the back roads between Gibson and Pike County Indiana are hidden gardens called the
Containing one of the largest collections of azaleas, it hosts many unusual and ornamental trees.
Meandering pathways lead to water features and unique sculptures.
Come and join us for a nature walk you will never forget.
