Vintage Inspired Vignette for the Holidays

Just popping in to show you a little corner of my office I have decorated for the holidays.
This fairy has been in the garden this summer, but now she has a warm home for the winter months.

The wine rack is very old, found at a yardsale years ago...
The piece is one my mom restored in the 80's.  I love its size and shape.
The mirror holds vintage photos from thrift shops, I buy them whenever I can.
This collection are all children's photos stuck on with poster tape.
I love tapestries.  This one I keep out all year.
You can't have the holidays without a bow or two.  This year I am using a lot of browns.

I am still tweaking much of the house, everything is fair game.
But little by little I will have it all done by the big day!

Thanks so much for stopping by....

December Roses - Sort of...

Yes, it that time of year again.  And the sad thing is.... I will not make it till December this year.

I have been very fortunate to have roses blooming in December the last few years...
But we have had some really frigid weather this week and I think we are done for the season....
But the sun has been magical...
And the frost is enchanting... although I would rather the season of blooms continue.
But to everything there must be a season...
And on November 28th... just 2 days until December....
I am saying my season of rose has ended for 2012.

Look at this beauty... a Strawberry Hill.  Many of my roses were loaded with blooms.  I was hoping for a few more warm days... but until next year!

Back to Christmas Decorating I guess!
God Bless!

Country Christmas Ladder

Just popping in to share a little Christmas project I did recently just off the kitchen.
I decided this wall needed something on it... something to brighten the season....
So I did a Country Holiday Ladder with some of my extra country ornaments and some greenery.

I am really happy with how it turned out!  Lol... don't mind the soda on the island... missed that!

If this ladder looks a bit familiar you might remember it from a previous life....

On my front porch!  Love to repurpose!
