Halloweens Gone By...

Hello friends!
Trick or Treat!!

Come on over, I have been making treats!

Tonight I am planning a school party for Halloween tomorrow
and thinking about years past with our girls.
When I remember the kids costumes this years was my favorite...
They were Rolie Polie Olie and Zowie.  Lol, I can still sing the song for that cartoon.
This is one of my favorite pics of my dad.  Can you tell how he loves his girls.
My mom showing off her pink hair.
My dad again with a rainbow froo.... Lol!
This was the year we built the house. They were 1st grade and preschool ages.
And if I remember right they fought all afternoon.
This was four years ago and they were scary witches.
Well maybe not that scary.

But this year they are 5th and 7th grade.... They love the candy, but its hard to get them to dress up anymore.
So they make crafts.... aka messes.
These were to decorate the golf cart for the parade at the campground.
Did it in colorful spiders this year.
I loved looking back on a few Halloween memories to share with you.

Have a safe and happy holiday!

Fall In My Own Backyard #2

Welcome dear friends and new readers!
Todays post is the front gardens in the early morning sun.
It is so pretty how the house glows when the sun comes over the trees.
And backlights the roses....
Its such a shame it is below freezing the rest of this week.
Because these roses are full of new buds and ready for more blooms.
Such is life in a garden I guess.

Fall In My Own Backyard #1

Welcome dear friends and new readers!
Yesterday was a beautiful day here in Southern Indiana!
I took full advantage and spent the better part of the morning photographing the garden and property.
I ended up with so many images that I am now doing a new series.
I am calling it "Fall in my own Backyard".
So today I am sharing part of the images of our firepit and native rock garden.
I enjoy several evergreens, grasses and tough natives in this area.
As well as a few irises, daylilies and mums.
We enjoy using this for cookouts and evening fires.  It is a very large circle, over 50 feet in depth.
It is four years old now and my trees are getting much larger.
Giving me winter interest and a nice view from the house towards the lake.

And here is a video of this area from last summer....
