Happy Friday Garden Friends and Welcome Visitors…
It’s gonna be a warm one here at the lake…
I was up with the sun to take some pictures for you this morning…
The light was beautiful, that magical time for garden shots…
So I must admit I took quite a few, so I will have lots to share this week.
But I thought for today we would just look at the front walk area.
I am so happy to have all this color to show you today.
This is one of my favorite views this week, Blue Satin althea… Little Grapette daylily and Nikko Blue hydrangea…. I love this together.
Don’t we wish we could keep it looking just like this, but the garden moves on!
We are still in a serious drought, I have been watering diligently for things to stay looking like this.
Thank goodness I have the time to do so, I would so hate to loose plants like so many others are worrying about.
But I am trying to keep the garden looking good for upcoming tours and visitors.
And the possibility of my garden being featured on a garden program…. fingers crossed.
I will let you know more about that if it comes to be. *wink*
Until then we will be enjoying these warm days in the lake.
And enjoying cookouts and Father’s Day this weekend.
We are so blessed to have such great men in our life.
So for all those great dads and papaws out there…. Happy Fathers Day!
Thanks so much for visiting and please consider following my site to get all the updates and posts!
Much Love….Brooke

Your garden is so lovely--gorgeous blooms! Thank you for sharing it with us. I've never grown the Little Grapette daylily, but now must look for it--nice.
ReplyDeleteYour gardens are just gorgeous! I have been starting to water every night, ferns in the front bed are starting to "burn". I have a question for you. I have waited 20 years to get a David Austin rose and this year for Mother's Day I got one. I am thrilled it is up and there are 4 blooms on it but the Japanese Beetles like it too. I have been out there soaping up the leaves they like and knocking the beetles in a bucket of soapy water. So far the blooms look okay. They are just eating the leaves. What is the best way to repel them? Thank you for joining me too at Home Sweet Home!
