First Rose Blooms of the Garden Year!

I just can’t help but be over the moon excited because my roses are blooming again!  This is the first variety to open fully, it’s ‘Welcome Home’ by Jackson and Perkins.
She is a beautiful rose to photograph.  She opens deep and vibrant yellow with orange tips, then ages to a buttery-creamy tone.

There are two of these beauties in this bed and I think they are four years old.
But it is those lush petal I adore.
I have never looked up the petal count, but it would be high.
I love this shot, it will be added to my favorite rose photos.
She averages about 4 ft tall with normal trimming.  Very good for a mixed border.
I cannot believe how early these blooms are happening, my roses usually begin blooming in Mid May.
But I will take it and enjoy them!  I have many more ready to open any day.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
