Favorite Flowers: Ninebark ‘Diablo’

IMG_3861
One of my favorite accent shrubs is blooming this month…. Ninebark ‘Diablo’.

I have it by the back deck under the honeysuckle for contrast.  I love this combination. It is covered in pink/white blooms in the spring, then lovely burgundy foliage all season long.

Look how intricate and pretty the blossoms are.  If you do not have one in your garden yet, add it to your wish list.  You’ll be glad you did!

  1. As I was watching the video I was trying to remember which Iris I liked best, but it became too difficult because with each new one I would say, "Oh, I like THAT one best...no, that one...", and so it went! They are all beautiful! I really need to update my small collection. Where do you get yours from? Also, when you divide do you ever think of selling some of the rhyzomes (sp?)

  2. I just bought the chartreuse one at a plant sale last week. I had to put it in a fairly shady area so I hope it will do okay!
