Every day I end up thinking to myself…. I wish they were here today! I’m talking about the upcoming garden tour and the visitors that will be here that day.
I hope the new wildflower bed will be this bright and cheery the day of the tour.
I wish you could see the hearty geranium, white irises and fairy roses… all blooming at the same time.
This rose is my main landscape rose, “The Fairy” in full bloom, this is the best week of the year for it.
A close up….
Mr. Lincoln is fantastic…. it gets darker in summer blooms and it looks like velvet.
Husker Red Penstemon is so nice scattered around, just a touch of burgundy.
The butterfly garden is really colorful right now.
The butterfly bushes are just ready to bloom, but I have seen many butterflies already this year.
Spirea…. one of my favorite shrubs.
It blooms almost like a perennial, I think this one is Anthony Waterer.
Unknown pink rose, one given to me from an old homestead. My favorite kind. I have four “new” ones given to me that have buds now…. I am excited to see what colors they will be.
The lilies are blooming! My favorites…. I have several new ones ready to bloom soon as well.
I don’t even care for orange and this is beautiful… in this bed I have more bright colors.
I even have one orange rose to match them.
Blanket flower, something I am adding many more of….
This one is called Arizona Sun and it is a dwarf, only 12 inches tall.
But the ‘Countrytime’ Rose steals the show….
Its rich blooms are fantastic…. I think this is my favorite picture so far this year.
They always photograph so well…. you may get tired of me posting them.
Delphiniums are the prettiest shade of blue, I hope this spreads.
The white ones are pretty too….in the new kitchen garden.
The cutting bed is coming along nicely…..cosmos and zinnias.
And the hydrangeas are just starting to turn pink and full….. I am so happy, the frost got this one last year.
So like I said before…..I wish you were here today!
Happy Gardening…..Brooke
Thanks for the tour today. The flowers look great. I enjoyed your video tour too.
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for the tour.
ReplyDeletethanks guys, I just realized today that I had turned the comments off by mistake! It has been so hot, and I have so much yet to do. But I am loving all the color right now.

ReplyDeleteHi Brooke, I wish I was there too. The dang rain... I was just finishing up and ready to go out and kaboom, the skies opened up. Okay nothing THAT dramatic, just rain and lots of it.
ReplyDeleteWhere to begin... Your house is just amazing. Love the front porch and all those windows.
The coreopsis are lovely. Your Pink Fairy rose, the flowers are of course, delightful but that shiny, pristine foliage...wow, the picture of health!
As I recall Mr. Lincoln is very fragrant, isn't it? I think I could bury my nose in those velvety blossoms. But...ooh the 'Countrytime' absolutely delicious!! If ever the tekkies out there develop a virtual smell-o-vision this photo should be the PR campaign. Fantastic!
Enjoyed the virtual tour but wish I could take a real tour. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteHi, Brooke
ReplyDeleteWow! I see so many familiar blooms but your gardens are at least 2 months ahead of mine. Everyone should love your garden tour. I know I did. :))
Awesome, Brooke! Love the music too!
ReplyDeleteBrooke, Your gardens all look perfect! Just beautiful! I know what you mean about the garden tour. I'm going to be in one the end of the month. Ourgrowing season is about 3 weeks ahead of schedule so I'm hoping something will still be blooming. Jean
